Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have finally finalized their divorce case. Two years after originally separating and eight years after they married, Moore and Kutcher are officially no longer married.
Terms of the divorce made public included that neither of the successful stars would be paying spousal support to the other. Moore, 51, had asked for spousal support back in March. This was regarded as unusual, since her own career has been successful and included several years as one of the highest-paid movie actresses in the world.
Kutcher, 35, filed for divorce in December of 2012, citing irreconcilable differences as the rationale for doing so. The couple had become very high-profile due to a combination of their individual fame and their 16-year age difference.
Kutcher, who previously starred on “That 70’s Show” and produced the MTV hit, “Punked,” is currently experiencing career resurgence with a star role in a sitcom. The sitcom is “Two and a Half Men,” where he co-stars with Jon Cryer and Amber Tamblyn. Because the show is a hit, he has become television’s highest paid actor for the past two years, bringing in $24 million annually.
Moore’s career has been less high-profile in recent years.
The two separated in November of 2011 in the wake of an unsubstantiated claim of an affair with Kutcher by a San Diego woman. Kutcher is now dating award-winning Russian-American actress Mila Kunis, who worked with him on his first sitcom years ago.
Divorce affects residents of Louisiana every year. Each divorce case has a variety of circumstances particular to that couple, with many issues to work through. A capable legal professional can help to address those issues in a non-acrimonious manner, resulting in a constructive settlement for all.
