Couples seek to adopt for a variety of excellent reasons. They may be unable to have biological children of their own, or may simply want to have a bigger family. They may also want to give a good home, love, and care to children who otherwise would have been raised in underprivileged circumstances. This last motivation comes into play in many cases, including when couples seek to adopt from other countries. Many Louisiana couples wanting to expand their families have followed the ongoing adoption story of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt with interest, especially since that story is about to commence a new chapter.
Jolie and Pitt are reportedly planning to adopt another child. Specifically, they are said to want another daughter, ideally between the ages of two and three. They looked into finding a child in Jordan, but found the process difficult, so are looking to find one in Ethiopia instead.
One motivation for going there is that they already have an adopted daughter from Ethiopia, and want her to have a sibling who shares the same heritage. The first Ethiopian daughter, Zahara, is 9. She is one of three adopted children that Jolie and Pitt already raise together, with the other two being Maddox, 12, and Pax, 10. The couple also has three biological children: Shiloh, 7, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 5.
The path to international adoption for Jolie and Pitt is smoothed by their enormous financial resources. Yet, even they face challenges in the process, and undoubtedly rely on excellent attorneys. Getting a great attorney is also instrumental for Louisiana couples looking to adopt.
